Because the steel structure is fully concealed under the treads, the steps appear to float and the façade remains visually calm. Why choose the GRADE UP EXT staircase?

Invisible structure for a pure, minimal design

The key feature of GRADE UP EXT is its galvanised steel structure placed beneath the treads. With the stringers out of sight, only the horizontal line of the steps remains, creating a light and almost floating effect. This minimal approach leaves plenty of room for glass, timber cladding or brickwork to stand out, while the staircase itself becomes a discreet yet distinctive architectural element.

Choice of treads: recycled plastic or galvanised steel

Depending on the desired character, you can select recycled plastic treads or galvanised steel treads. Recycled plastic offers a more tactile, comfortable surface and supports an environmentally responsible approach, while remaining rot-proof and slip-resistant. Galvanised steel emphasises the industrial look and visually ties in with the structure. Both options are suitable for intensive outdoor use in all weather conditions.

Every GRADE UP EXT staircase is individually engineered. Height, width and pitch are adapted to the available space and the required level of comfort. The model can be built as a straight flight, with one or more landings, or as a double-turn staircase to navigate changes in direction along the façade. This makes it easy to integrate the stair in narrow courtyards, stepped gardens or multi-level terraces.

The fully hot-dip galvanised steel structure gives long-term protection against corrosion, frost and everyday impacts. Maintenance is limited to occasional cleaning with water.
