FAQ

Planning to buy a staircase? Find the answers to your questions here.

How do I get a personalized quote?
It's very simple: click the "Request a quote" button, choose your nearest store, and send us your information (plans, approximate measurements, and a few photos). Our experts will contact you with an initial price proposal and arrange a technical measurement visit if the project interests you.
What are the production and installation lead times?

Artisanal quality requires precision. On average, for an order without installation, your staircase is ready in 40 working days. If you entrust the installation to our teams, the lead time is approximately 60 working days, including the scheduling of our expert installers.

Where are Spira staircases manufactured?

All our staircases are produced exclusively in our main atelier at Spira Brussels (Vilvoorde). We support the local economy with "Made in Belgium" manufacturing and sustainable materials of European origin (except for Kambala wood, chosen for its exceptional properties).

What is the warranty period for our staircases?

The legal warranty is 2 years. However, Spira designs its staircases to last a lifetime. With 65 years of experience, we still maintain staircases installed over 40 years ago. Our expertise is your best guarantee of durability.

How long does it take to install a staircase?

Generally, we estimate one working day per staircase per floor for a team of 2 to 3 specialized installers. This time may vary depending on the complexity of the chosen model.

Are my measurements checked before manufacturing?

Yes, that is the Spira safety standard. When we handle the installation, our experts always come to measure at your home to ensure a perfect fit. If you provide your own measurements, manufacturing will follow your data, but any measurement errors will be your responsibility.

What materials and finishes do you offer?

Spira works exclusively with sustainable materials (we do not work with glass).
Steps: Beech, Oak, Bamboo, Kambala (matte varnish or glossy oiled finish), steel or recycled synthetic material.
Structures & Handrails: Stainless steel or steel (black/grey primer, varnished raw steel, powder-coated or galvanized finish).

Do you offer renovation for old staircases?

No, we specialize exclusively in the creation of new staircases from our own range. Of course, if you have an old Spira staircase, we will gladly take care of it: we know our products and their evolution over time perfectly.

How do I maintain my Spira staircase?

Maintenance depends on the finish. For indoor wooden stairs, dry cleaning or a slightly damp cloth is enough. For our outdoor stairs, an annual cleaning with a soft cloth and mild soap (like Dreft) is sufficient to preserve the structure's appearance.

Can I see a 3D rendering of my project before manufacturing?

Yes, this is a key step. Once measurements are taken, our design office draws your staircase using CAD software. These precise plans allow you to validate the aesthetics and final footprint before production begins in Vilvoorde.
